Hi Everyone!

Well, here I am putting a “Welcome!” post in for the second time.  It isn’t the same as the first because we lost our database.  Since I’m a n00bie at WordPress (WP) I didn’t realize I needed to install a WP backup plugin so the content would be backed up.  Oopsie!

Of course, you can imagine what has happened.  Since I was writing my posts actually in WP and I didn’t back them up, of course something happened to corrupt the database and I lost all of my posts.  Not just the posts I had published, but also the posts that were either in process or place holders of posts I was going to write.

Moral?  BACKUP YOUR POSTS!

I’m going to have to change the way I do this now.  I’m going to write my posts in Word on my home PC, then cut-and-paste the posts into WP (I’m old enough to remember when “WP” meant the “WordPerfect” word processor… on DOS), and THEN make regular backups of my WP database/content.  Whew!

At least that means I shouldn’t run into this kind of problem again.  I don’t mind (that much) having to set up WP again, but the content (is king) and that is what really bothers me.  UGH!

Anyway, I’m going to have to recreate all of my posts.  This is probably going to take awhile, so please be patient because it took me awhile to get them written in the first place and I, probably like most of you, hate to redo work.
